![]() ![]() And I actually hate the little indoor areas in Diablo 3. ![]() I feel those implementations would actually make the game feel less unique and more like a Diablo clone. It just doesn't work with the whole dropping stratagems thing, it would just be awkward IMO.Īlthough it would be amusing if the Helldivers had to punch in their stratagem code and shout "HEY KOOL-AID" OHHHH YEAH! as it crashes through the roof. Again its more of a RPG mentality than a quick twitch arcade mentality, and its that fast paced light rpg but heavy arcade style of action that makes Helldivers so memorable and enjoyable for me. That would really just ruin a fun mission. So that would be really annoying to get a message "You have exhausted the troops on your ship.GAME OVER". You may wind up getting one or zero stars, but the mission just felt epic. And the funnest games I've played in Helldivers is when everyone is dying constantly, but that last player keeps reviving. I certainly don't like the idea of being able to boost stats, for the same reason that it makes it more RPG style and less about player ability, which i think Helldivers needs to be about, player skill. Its cool that its all about player skill and that there really is no differentiation amongst players, other then their skill level. But i think it gets away from the fun arcadey way that Helldivers is now. ![]() I had thought about different stats for helldivers as well. If Arrowhead add this along with the Dungeon system I talked about in another thread, helldiver will become my dream game! I'm not expecting this in next DLC, but maybe Helldivers 2? There are a lot of things can be done with this system, a little RNG maybe?(but please don't overdo it) For example, we need to build a room with some parts that will only be dropped in certain mission by certain enemy, or collect certain resource on specific planet. I got these idea from Xcom and Rouge Legacy. I think either way would work for me as long as the customization level of soldiers is carefully designed. We can make that if soldiers die then they just die, or they can be injured and rescued back to ship where the recover process take place. We can also build training room to boost their stats and perhaps giving them special perks. Some run faster, some reload faster, some can take more damage, some give extra stability, some give you extra reward and etc. Every soldier will have random generated names and special skills. We have to recruit more if we lose too many of them. Yes, we only have limited amount of soldiers on ship. Since we have a ship, we can add rooms to modify our weapons, armors, mecha, tanks, or even our soldiers. I suggest that we adapt xcom style of upgrading system in next expansion. Right now we have sample and exp grind, which is fun but only up to a point. Straight to the point, I think we need a better progression system. Join over 2,000 other Helldivers in our Discord! Again, this isn't going to be enforced heavy-handedly, it's not like a single off-topic rant is bannable, but if you start spamming links to cash-for-click sites or whatever, you will get banned. This includes affiliate links and unrelated content. While we won't ban negative comments and so forth, if you have a repeated history of making caustic remarks for the sole purpose of being confrontational, we won't hesitate to ban - regardless of how monolithic you think you are in the community. We're not enforcing this rule as a form of censorship, we're enforcing this because subreddits tend to get lots of new players, and the last thing we as a community should do is make people tuck tail and run. Clearly jokes and stuff are fine, but if you're harassing someone, that's not cool. Other than that, have fun, and be excellent to each other! We're really passionate about the game, so we ask that posts in this subreddit be relevant to Helldivers - other content should go on /r/gaming or /r/games. ![]() This is an unofficial subreddit for Helldivers. ![]()
